Development of research on WC-Ni cemented carbides of

mechanical seal face materials

Abstract:The material of solid ring with appropriate and consistent strength,stiffness,wear-resistance and thermal

conductivity will allow for the maintenance of mechanical seal working normally.Properties of physical and mechanical

of WC-Ni cemented carbides and current research situation are surveyed in the present paper.The application and

research on mechanical face seals are also briefly introduced.The effects of microstructure of WC grain and binders as

well as the external stress on cemented carbides were described.The further research of WC-Ni cemented carbides used

on mechanical face material has proposed according to the material characteristics and under the current research

progress to meet the requirement of practical application.

摘要:为保证机械密封装置中的密封环在工作过程中正常运转,通常要求密封副的硬环材料具有足够的强度、刚度、耐磨性和导热性能。本文综述了WC-Ni硬质合金的物理性能、力学特性、研究现状及其作为机械密封材料的应用和研究;介绍了WC晶粒、粘结剂等显微组织结构对WC-Ni硬质合金性能的影响,以及外加应力对硬质合金中各相的应变响应。根据材料特性和机械密封的使用要求,并结合当前的研究进展,对WC-Ni硬质合金作为机械密封端面材料需要进一步研究的问题进行展望。
